Well, I've lost my color key. Wow, that took brains. Okay, let's get to reality. the pattern was printed, orinigally, on a 5 x 5 block, allscrunched together, with the itsy0bitsy color key underneathe it. I took it to Kinko's, to enlarge the pattern, it was an old magazine, I got it off of Ebay. It's somewhere. It's probably moved to storage, after my son installed the drumset in the basement.
When I took it to Kinko's, they said they couldn't run it, due to the copyright law, and there was no note saying I could run a personal copy of it, for my own use. I told them, I knew the copy right laws, well, and I'd never do anything illegal, nor would I have kinko's do it. (I now own a scanner, which enlarges). Kinko's did run the copy for me. I have not given it to anyone, and it's one of only a few that exists on this earth, I think. After I said, I was allowed to have an enlarged copy, as long as I don't give it to anyone else, and considered it a defaced copy when finished. Ofcourse, it's a defaced copy, who would want it? There's highlights, and colors, and notes, and stuff all over it.
I took it home, and begin it's tedious task. It's taken me about 3 years to get to this point. There's only 5-6 colors left, cause there's only 5-6 symbols. When the pattern was written, they didn't have metalics or glow in the dark thread, or anything but DMC basic floss. I knew I'd change it.
Recently, DMC came out with their light effects. Some of their colors resemble the fine colors of Rainbow Gallery. When I discovered no color key, which I probably will find in the next couple of days, I really didn't sweat it, I just rewrote it, with the metalics and glow in the dark. Baby Jesus needs a glowing halo.
During What Not To Wear, I finished the hay. It was pretty much one color, anyway, in the colors, so I knew which color I had used. I kept all the oclors together.
That's all the stitching for tonight. I did it on 18 count, I have to use my Visual mate, cause it blinds me. Santa would go alot faster had I done it on 16 count, which I prefer. My son comes home from Boy Scout Camp tomorrw, and I'm supposed to work on the Democratic campaigne in the moorning. I'm extremely tired from work today (no CNA's, 3 nurse, 40 residents, one med tech. They are killing me.) No time to eat lunch, and no sitting down, until we start our charts. Hey,the woman who is the present superviser wanted it that way, and it's killing her, too. With power comes sacrifice and also if power is mispresented, or handled in a poor manor, it kills the soul.
